Riding our motorcycles over the small countryside roads in Uruguay becomes a constant sequence of rolling terrains, hilly and winding roads. Small towns, hamlets and farm houses will appear suddenly on the top of the mountains or by a stream in the valley.
Kind people will come close to the fence to say Hi! to the pack of riders.
This tour is different, as it is not aimed to get only to the main and fancy, very well-known cities of Uruguay, like Montevideo or Punta del Este, but also the less visited Durazno, Piriápolis, Minas or Mariscala.
It involves a long holiday weekend riding a motorcycle with your couple and friends. This tour is the perfect mix to have a good time. The landscapes are beautiful. The winding and hilly roads are pure fun. The weather is always nice. Plus, we'll enjoy the local cuisine, famous for its barbecues and sea food from the south Atlantic ocean. As an extra, Uruguay is developing a strong wine tradition, and the Tannat strain is becoming a truly Uruguayan ambassador.
Our motorcycles will allow us to ride into backcountry roads, where opening and closing fences become a new job to both the front and last rider. Sandy streets of coastal towns are the path to a hidden but fancy restaurant. So close and so far away. This daydream weekend will account as a full-fledged holiday. The goal is to provoke a sharp cut in the routine and change moods so roundly that coming back home will seem unreal.
Early on Friday morning we hop on the ferry and by Monday evening are back home . We'll spend a night in Punta del Este with all the fancy and astonishing options this main city can offer to the most exclusive tourists in the world.
** COVID PANDEMIC: This tour is subject to the possibility of crossing borders from Argentina to Uruguay. In case there are no Ferries operating but the starting point can be accessed by land, you will be informed in a timely manner. If it is not possible on the proposed date, it will be rescheduled.
